About the Item

19th Century Turkmen Ersari Main Rug Size 225 x 280 cm (7,38 - 9,18 ft) It is a hand-knotted tribal carpet made entirely of natural dyes and hand-woven wool. This rug was woven as part of a project that pays homage to the traditional Ersari Turkmen carpet art. The main dye used in this carpet is madder. The rich earthy red brown red tones of this paint are symbolic of the Ersari people. All wool construction and sturdy weave. As these carpets age, they gain an incredible shine and soft touch. This weaving project produced some of my all-time favorite tribal rugs. If you want to add a historical touch to your home or office, this 19th-century antique Ersari Main rug is for you. This carpet dazzles with its vibrant colors and intricate patterns that reflect the rich culture and art of the Ersari tribes. Each stitch demonstrates timeless craftsmanship and quality.
