Hand-knotted in wool and silk in our most luxurious Nepalese pile, this 8x10 rug is the latest addition to our European rug collection, affectionately dubbed “Cordoba” for the Spanish rug style of inspiration. On the Design: Modeled after the namesake synagogue of Spain, “Cordoba” patterns are very individualistic while maintaining their reference to retro origins, exemplified here in this piece’s series of floral emblems drawn in a very deco pattern constructed with naturally luminous silk. Lightly distressed, the gold background gives dimensionality to the kaleidoscopic golden-yellow pattern in this lesser-known combination of colourways.
