From Rug & Kilim’s European collection, an 8x10 Tudor style flatweave with medallions & pictorial patterns in regal black, gold & off white. Handwoven in wool, a fine weave with coarse & durable additions in a subtle high low texture well suited for ambitious projects seeking elegant traditional appeal. Connoisseurs may further note regal pictorials in the outer field, fabulously alluding to classic crests and even brilliant Helenistic/Greco Roman aesthetics. Inspired from the most rare, sought-after curations in our principal’s experience. Further to its rarity, the high-low variation represents the first ever contribution of such a marriage of pile and flatweave to this style by our principal. An exemplary work capturing the inspirational period and sensibility with originality and reverence.
