This authentic antique Turkmen Tekke Chuval (large storage bag face) showcases a rich, deep madder red field adorned with traditional primary guls (octagonal tribal medallions) and secondary chemche minor guls. Hand-knotted from high-quality, lustrous wool, it features a classic elem (skirt) with a serrated chevron or "tree of life" design. A stunning example of 19th or early 20th-century Central Asian nomadic art, this piece is ideal as a decorative wall hanging or a unique floor accent. This rug measures 3'2" x 3'6".
