About the Item

"Bla Heden" (Blue Heath) was designed by Märta Måås-Fjetterström in 1931.   Acquired by the Crown Prince of Sweden and his Consort in the same year, it is one of the firm's most beloved designs.  This variant is unique, and utilizes only the red ground combination (a rich blend of soft reds and grays, with green on the border) from the original design.  It was commissioned and created in 1985. Very rarely in the history of the firm was a design adapted in this way. This unique variant should appeal to MMF collectors and Siennese red enthusiasts; it is super clean, in excellent vintage condition, and seems well-suited to a home office or child's study.
