Royal House Antiques Royal House Antiques is delighted to offer for sale this absolutely stunning fully restored Antique Circa 1900-1920 English Arts and Crafts Art Deco reclining armchair with tray table arm, writing slope, reclining back and footrest Please note the delivery fee listed is just a guide, it covers within the M25 only for the UK and local Europe only for international, if you would like an accurate quote, please send me your postcode and I’ll provide you with the exact price. A very good looking and well made, fully restored English oak and leather library reading armchair. The piece has been fully restored as mentioned, it has all new upholstery, the cushions have been custom made to fit, they have Thomas Chippendale style floating buttons which really sets them off from the normal fabric upholstery. The leather hide comes from Italy and is fully aniline leather, after its upholstered the nest stage of the process is to be hand dyed six times, antiqued, sealed, waxed down and polished, the internals are all feather filled with a fiber core for stability The chair reclines as you can see in the pictures by move the rear bar, it has a pull out, height adjustable footstool, the reading slope is fully articulated, this chair really is quite sublime and in amazing condition Dimensions Height:- 107cm Width:- 78cm, with tray open 92cm Depth:- 96cm, depth when fully reclined 114cm, depth including footrest 163cm Seat height:- 48cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point, if you would like any additional or specific measurements please ask. Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
