About the Item

Pair of armchairs in tubular metal and bouclé cotton upholstery, produced by Forma in the 1960s. The famous duo of designers sign here an innovative piece in which we find the elements that made their reputation of avant-garde creators. These armchairs rest on a folded and welded metal base, the trademark that they popularized with their "Reversivel" model. This gives the piece a balance between the lightness of the structure for an airy look and the visually strong geometry that creates a note of stability. The seat and backrest, designed in a perfectly ergonomic way, are completely covered with fabric, in this case white cotton bouclé, which reinforces the clean style of the designers while offering the utmost comfort. Martin Eisler & Carlo Hauner have once again proposed with this pair of armchairs a form that testifies to an era in search of simplification of the lines that go to the essential, where the structure is in agreement with the function, with a particular attention on the adaptation to the body and also to the new lifestyle. The armchairs are indeed very easy to move in an interior, symbol of a changing era marked by a desire for mobility, flexible and adaptable furniture, which allows to regularly reinvent its decor, its practices and its lifestyle. A period set, in every sense of the word!
