A French Louis XV period walnut settee from the mid-18th century, with cabriole legs and new upholstery. Born in France during the reign of King Louis XV 'Le Bien-Aimé' (the Beloved), this exquisite settee features a curved back flowing seamlessly into the arms that flank the seat, its upper rail discreetly adorned with two carved flowers. Recovered with a double welt fabric, the settee is raised on six cabriole legs, delicately carved in low-relief on the front knees with petite flowers.
