About the Item

Elegant set of four high-back chairs designed by Tito Agnoli in the 1970s. These chairs exemplify Agnoli’s refined modernist approach, combining sculptural clarity with excellent ergonomic comfort. The tall, gently contoured backrests and streamlined silhouettes create a strong architectural presence while remaining understated and timeless. Tito Agnoli (1931–2012) was an architect and designer of furniture and lighting, born in Lima, Peru, to an Italian family. He later moved to Italy, where he studied painting under the modernist artist Mario Sironi, before enrolling at the Politecnico di Milano in 1949 to study architecture. After graduating and specializing in industrial design, Agnoli completed important apprenticeships with Gio Ponti and Carlo De Carli, two of the most influential figures of Italian postwar design.
