An elegant set of six late 18th century Swedish Gustavian dining chairs, beautifully patinated in their original scraped finish. Each chair features a square backrest with reeded slats and a carved crest rail adorned with the classic Gustavian “pearl beading” motif, a hallmark of the neoclassical style that flourished under King Gustav III. The chairs rest on tapered, fluted legs joined by H-stretchers for added stability, showcasing the refined proportions and restrained ornamentation that define the Gustavian aesthetic.
