Pair of Knoll Robert & Trix Haussmann Black Leather Club Chairs An iconic pair of Knoll lounge club chairs designed by renowned Swiss architects and designers Robert and Trix Haussmann. Introduced in the late 1980s, these architectural lounge chairs embody the duo’s distinctive Postmodern interpretation of classic Modernist design, combining clean geometric lines with exceptional comfort. Expertly upholstered in supple black leather, each chair features a bold cubic silhouette with broad padded arms, thick seat and back cushions, and a low, inviting profile. The fully upholstered frame creates a sculptural monolithic appearance while providing outstanding comfort and support. The minimalist design is enhanced by crisp tailoring, subtle topstitching, and premium Knoll craftsmanship. Inspired by the Bauhaus tradition and Ludwig Mies van der Rohe’s celebrated Weissenhof designs, the Haussmanns reimagined the classic lounge chair with softer proportions and luxurious upholstery, resulting in a timeless design equally suited to contemporary, minimalist, and Postmodern interiors. Both have some wear to the leather as seen and need some restoration. Scuffs marks but not tears to the leather. Can be restored or used as is. Heavy solid and very comfortable!
