Its subtle appearance reminds us to take a relaxing break from our hectic everyday lives once in a while, and that’s certainly nothing to be ashamed of. The modest dimensions of the daybed are a benefit here, as they gently force you to spend some time on your own. Part of the basic furnishings of any upscale interior in the 1920s, the flat daybed has been enjoying a Renaissance for several years now. Our daybed caused a stir more than 30 years ago, with its elaborate patchwork processing and freely place able back cushions. This timeless Classic has now been gently updated. It is available both as a daybed and as a small lounge sofa, too. The daybed doubles as a lounge sofa The daybed DS-80 has established itself as a timeless Classic by De Sede ever since it was launched in 1969: to this day, the model is a paradigm of high-class leather manufacture and popular all-over the world. To be honest, we’re not quite sure which we like better: the newly produced models or the 50-year-old sculptures that have acquired a patina of their own. A narrow, high-quality mattress lies atop a frame made of filigree wood slats, the patchwork is sustainably made of just a single hide. Additional information: Materials: Leather Characteristics: Meticulous processing preserves the natural quality, with a characteristic pattern of creases, grain and pores. After tanning, it is dyed with a special finish to maintain the natural aura while also offering improved protection. It undergoes visible ageing, lending it an endearing patina.
