Fantastic vintage modern dark blue plastic & chrome reverse cantilever Intellect dining chairs by Krueger International (a.k.a.) KI Seating 15 total. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that these are vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear. There are some minor nicks & dings in the plastic & some feet are a newer style. Chrome is excellent. Please see photos and zoom in for details. We attempt to portray any imperfections. Circa, 2008. NOTE: We are selling these chairs as a whole group of 15 however, if you really want a smaller group of four, six, or eight we may consider something like that. Stacks and Stacks of Sensational Chairs!!! This is a set of 15 dark and light blue plastic and chrome stacking chairs by KI Seating. There are 7 dark blue and 8 light blue. They are from the Intellect Collection which was discontinued in 2019. They are comprised of a shield shaped blue plastic back and the reverse cantilever base doubles as an ergonomically designed handle behind the seat back. FABULOUS!! Of course, they were originally designed for commercial applications such as schools or offices, but we know they will be wonderful in your home. And they’re obviously attractive but, talk about sturdy! So, you don’t have to sacrifice style for durability! The light and dark blue contrast beautifully and will be wonderful used as dining chairs, but they would be equally as fabulous around an office or conference table, or at the family game table. Did company show up unexpectedly? No problem! These are great for extra seating! And they’re conveniently stackable! When company leaves, stack them neatly away in the storage closet. Awesome vintage cantilever tubular chrome and blue hopsack fabric upholstered lounge chairs in the manner of Thonet. There are set of seven chairs available. All are in wonderful vintage condition with normal wear for their age. The upholstery has been cleaned and can be used but you may wish to recover. They are priced accordingly. Excellent set of eight black Torsion dining chairs designed by Giancarlo Piretti for KI. There are seven arm chairs and one side chair. They are in wonderful vintage condition with minor wear that you would expect with age. Please see photos, circa 1995. In 1997 Giancarlo Piretti received an award for his Torsion seating collection. These chairs are part of that collection. Designed and made initially and primarily for commercial purpose they are extremely comfortable and flexible. They are lightweight and stackable. This set has an attractive textured high impact black plastic seat, back, and arms on chrome legs. No one expects this chair have the comfort it provides. The back flexes. This flex is achieved with the torsion mechanism which creates gradually increasing resistance. They were designed for comfort during long meetings or lectures. But, that makes them perfect for long dinners with lots of conversation. Or, family night with puzzles, cards, and games. The designer, Giancarlo Piretti, was born in Bologna Italy in 1940. He attended art schools there and subsequently taught Interior Design. During that time, he was also designing furniture for Anonima Castelli. He has won numerous awards and has items in many museums including MoMA New York. He still lives and works in Bologna with is son, designer Alessandro Piretti.
