Laakso dining chair, black by made by choice with Saku Sysiö Dimensions: 56 x 50 x 69 cm Materials: solid ash Finishes: natural ash / painted black Also available in oak, upholstery category 1 (natural leather), upholstery category 2 (std. fabric). This modern classic is designed by Saku Sysiö from Aivan design and innovation agency. The soft and organic-shaped furniture with its U-shaped ”valley” as backrest gives safe ground for dinners and conversation battles. Laakso, which also means valley in Finnish, is the part of the district in Helsinki where this chair was born. About Made by Choice: Nordic Happiness. Halikko is home to our 4000 square metre campus where we turn abstract concepts into tangible objects. Our team in our office in Helsinki coordinates all operations and installations. Made by Choice's agile, purpose driven approach means all new products are developed on demand, for a specific project and need, and carries the authentic story of it's reason of existence. Our products are developed and manufactured at our own factory in south-western Finland by some of the best craftsmen in the world. Choice is inspired by heritage and Nordic urban lifestyle. We are driven to explore the boundaries of our discipline to create new narratives. Choice collaborates with leading designers and ambitious interior architects on site-specific projects to create new urban spaces. Choice was founded by Lasse Laine, Sebastian Jansson and Niclas Ahlström – based on the common vision and mutual values to create a distinctive, value-driven brand and a new design heritage.
