This rare set of 14 dining chairs, model 370 - also known as the Boomerang chair - was designed by Alfred Christensen and produced by Slagelse Møbelfabrik in Denmark during the 1950s. Exemplifying the essential values of Danish mid-century modern design, these chairs are both sculptural and practical, combining refined aesthetics with superior craftsmanship. Crafted from solid teak, the frames exhibit a warm, rich tone and a finely figured grain, accentuated by a beautifully aged patina. A stylish and extremely well made set of eight Danish vintage teak dining chairs by Johannes Andersen, dating from the 1960’s. They are of outstanding quality with a gorgeous design, they are very comfortable and supportive. They have a beautiful and sculptural design, the curved back rests sweep down into the sides of the seats, they stand on beautifully tapered legs. We have had the solid teak frames stripped and re-polished to a very high standard, the condition is excellent throughout.
