About the Item

A compact upholstered footstool covered in richly colored cranberry damask woven with a chinoiserie landscape motif featuring figures, pagodas, and stylized foliage. The tonal weave creates a subtle interplay of matte and sheen, allowing the pattern to emerge gently as light moves across the surface. The stool rests on a dark-stained wood base with robust turned legs joined by stretchers, giving the piece a pleasing architectural presence despite its modest scale. Decorative braid trim finishes the upholstery edge. Small in scale but visually engaging, the stool works easily in a variety of interiors—as a footrest beside a lounge chair, a small dressing stool, or a layered accent within a larger decorative vignette.
