About the Item

This vintage dining ensemble dates back to the 1960s and was manufactured in former Czechoslovakia. It includes a round dining table and a matching set of six chairs, designed in the spirit of mid-century modern aesthetics. The chairs are constructed from solid wood and feature softly contoured backrests paired with elegant, slender legs. Their original wooden frames remain in excellent vintage condition, with only slight, age-appropriate wear. Each frame has been thoroughly cleaned and finished with a premium wood oil, enhancing the grain while providing long-term protection. The seating surfaces have been newly upholstered by a professional, offering improved comfort without compromising the period-correct look. The round table, produced by Drevotvar, is characterized by a veneered wooden tabletop supported by a distinctive, turned central pedestal. The pedestal is anchored by a substantial steel tulip-style base. The table has undergone a complete restoration process and has been refinished with lacquer, resulting in a smooth and well-balanced appearance. As a complete set, these pieces create a visually coherent and practical dining arrangement, well suited for interiors inspired by mid-century modern or Scandinavian design. All elements are stable, fully functional, and ready for everyday use.
