About the Item

This is an important pair of Post-Modern lounge chairs designed by Michael Graves for Sunar Houseman in 1981. The listed price includes the pair. Their design features burled birdseye maple veneer over hardwood frames, and have tan upholstered seats with dark contrast piping. They are geometric in form, having design elements that are clearly informed by Biedermeier. Each chair measures 30 inches long, 30 inches wide, and is 34 inches high. We have intentionally left these chairs in their original condition and there are myriad nicks and wear to the edges on the arms. The fabric shows some spots and some discoloration, especially on the arm rests. There are some tears apparent, so reupholstery would be advised. Overall, these chairs are in solid condition with some wear apparent. Please see photos. Genuinely faulty goods will be replaced or money refunded on a case by case basis, however we must be advised of any faulty goods upon receipt of the item. It is the customer's responsibility to pay for return shipping and ship the item back to us. If the item is found to be faulty, we will also refund the postage cost. If there is no damage to the item, but a return is approved, the buyer will be responsible for both the initial and return shipping cost. It is at our discretion to refuse the refund of undamaged goods. If an order is placed and you would like to cancel the order, please notify us immediately. Any refunds will be processed via the same means that payment was made.
