Pair of DS-80 lounge chairs by Ueli Berger for De Sede Switzerland, 1970s Premium cognac tan leather upholstery Solid ebonised wooden X-frame construction Beautifully aged leather with rich natural patina Excellent vintage condition with age-related wear consistent with use An exceptional pair of DS-80 lounge chairs designed by Ueli Berger for the renowned Swiss manufacturer De Sede during the 1970s. Celebrated for their sculptural profile and superb craftsmanship, these iconic lounge chairs embody the refined modernist aesthetic that defined European design of the period. The generously proportioned cushions are upholstered in supple cognac tan leather, which has acquired a rich, characterful patina through decades of careful use. The warm leather contrasts beautifully with the bold ebonised solid wood X-frame, creating a striking architectural silhouette from every angle. Originally established as a specialist saddle-making workshop, De Sede became internationally renowned for producing some of the finest leather furniture of the twentieth century.
