Scandinavian Modern Bodö Armchair Introducing the Bodö armchair, designed by Svante Skogh and crafted from light oak, leather straps and reupholstered in wool fabric. This iconic piece was first unveiled in 1957 at the Stockholm Furniture Fair and is produced by AB Hjertquist & Co. in Nässjö, Sweden. The armchair exemplifies Scandinavian modern style, showcasing clean, sophisticated lines and a timeless design. About the Designer Swedish furniture designer Svante Skogh is renowned for his mid-century creations produced by Seffle (sometimes spelled as Säffle) Möbelfabrik. During his career in the 1950s and 1960s, he collaborated with various furniture manufacturers. Although his designs gained significant recognition, there is limited information available about the designer himself. His portfolio included a variety of pieces, from coffee tables to seating, such as the iconic Bodö Series from 1957. Today, many of Skogh’s designs have endured the test of time and are highly sought after in the vintage market.
