About the Item

We are delighted to offer for sale this lovely fully restored original oak framed vintage hand dyed cigar brown leather directors chair. Please note the delivery fee listed is just a guide, it covers within the M25 only for the UK and local Europe only for international. A very good looking well made and comfortable directors chair, I've not seen one with a solid oak frame like this before, the seat platform is a traditional sprung base so very comfortable, this is the bosses chair, is large and in charge. It has been fully restored as mentioned, the leather has been stripped back, hand dyed six times, antiqued and sealed, the finish is this lovely cigar brown colour. The timber has been cleaned waxed and polished, the intention with this kind of restoration was to leave all the original patina. Dimensions Height:- 107cm seat height 48cm Width:- 65cm Depth:- 60.5cm Measurements are taken at the widest point, This item is available for collection from our Pulborough warehouses RH20 1DF. Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description pertaining to the condition. Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of creasing and wear, we recommend annual waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
