About the Item

Introducing a newly restored footstool designed and crafted in the 1960s in the manner of famed American architect and designer Adrian Pearsall. Featuring a solid oak frame replete with stunning woodgrains throughout and cut to archetypally Space Age angles. The upholstery, redone in a vintage-feeling heavy weave beige fabric, is both neutral and subtle making it ideal for designers. Born in 1925 Adrian Pearsall began designing and building furniture in 1952 with his company named 'Craft Associates' which started first in his home shop and grew to a company with more than 650 craftsmen and employees. Pearsall’s work not only helped define Mid-Century Modern but also the idea that function does not have to be sacrificed for beauty. With most furniture before the mid-century being highly ornate and lacking in utilitarian use, his work was a much welcomed change. Ideal for designers or those looking to pair their existing Pearsall lounge chair with a complimentary foot stool this piece is the definition of American mid-century modern design. Buy it as is or have us re-upholster it in a fabric of your choosing or to match your chair. Either way make it yours today before it's gone forever. ---Dimensions--- Width: 26 in / 66.04 cm Depth: 21.5 in / 54.61 cm Height: 16.5 in / 41.91 cm This ottoman has recently undergone a comprehensive and transformative restoration and we love the results! Featuring new beige heavy weave knit fabric the upholstery is in showroom condition. The cushion has been replaced with new medium density foam for maximum comfort and longevity. The solid oak frame and legs have been hand-sanded and refinished showing only minor signs of remaining wear such as light scratches (shown in the detail photos provided). There are no other signs of wear present whatsoever. This architecturally fascinating ottoman is incredibly comfortable, structurally solid and ready for a literal lifetime more of use thanks to it's recent restoration process. Please view all photos and natural light video provided for details on this piece's current condition. We're limited on the amount of media we can post so additional photos and videos are available upon request.
