About the Item

1950s - 1960s Mid-Century Organic Modern Italian curved / crescent 3-seat sofa with dark wood (likely walnut) base and red woven upholstery. Elegantly sculpted lines emanating from the central curve motif. A rounded upholstered frame, akin to Osvaldo Borsani's Canada Lounge, adorns the arm rests and back rest in one continuous and undulating form, curving not only on the horizontal plane, but also on the vertical, with slopes down both armrests. The seat bench consists of three loose seat cushions, which conform to the curved theme and provide visual structure. The base is constructed of attractive dark wood, likely European Walnut. It is underhung and buttressed to give the sofa a lighter, pedastalized appearance. The fabric is a high quality weave and in very good condition.
