About the Item

Designed by Danish designer Hans Olsen and produced in Denmark during the 1960s, this three-seater sofa is a refined example of Scandinavian Modern seating, combining a slender exposed rosewood frame with generous black leather cushions and carefully balanced proportions. The design is defined by its clean architectural structure, with elegantly shaped armrests, slender legs, and an open frame that gives the sofa a remarkably light appearance despite its generous three-seat proportions. Crafted in rosewood, the frame displays deep warm tones and expressive natural grain, creating a rich contrast with the black leather upholstery. Generously proportioned loose seat and back cushions provide a relaxed and inviting seating experience while maintaining the restrained silhouette characteristic of Scandinavian Modern design. The black leather has developed a beautiful natural patina over time, adding depth and character to the piece.
