A Magnificent Early 20th Century Leather Chesterfield Sofa This is one of the finest, original, leather Chesterfields we have seen, you simply just don’t see original, leather Chesterfields of this quality and in this condition; it is a unicorn! The leather is all-original and has been remarkably preserved. The sofa is of the highest quality with details that could only have been created by the finest traditional upholsterers. It has a sprung-edge front, and piped split-cane around the perimeter, again, remarkably, with no damage. All the springs are taught and lovely and the comfort, being a generous seat, is just wonderful. The turned feet also have zero damage; the sofa was specified without casters, suggesting it was for a wood-en floored property. This is a rare opportunity and certainly an investment. Good luck! We specialise in original, French, leather club chairs. Even though our stock is quite consistent, finding original club chairs in a very good, original condition is a constant challenge. With our partners in France, we are always on the lookout and our chairs can be found anywhere from a local brocante to a chateau sale, from the north to the south of France. In our experience, nearly all the chairs will need attention to the springs, after all they're not just objects of beauty, they are to be used. In addition, the leather on our chairs is always nourished and the upholstery cleaned. Our customers range from private homes to hotels and clubs, film and fashion shoots.
