We are delighted to offer for sale this very nice midcentury three-seat sofa with ornately hand carved lion hairy paw feet and frame This is part of a suite, I have in total a three-seat sofa, a pair of standard armchairs, a pair of occasional chairs and a pair of stools, all other pieces are listed under my other items This sofa is exquisite, the solid walnut frame is ornately carved, it depicts Lion hairy paw feet, Georgian Irish style acanthus leaves and foliage, it is sublime work. The seat platform is all traditional Victorian coil sprung, it is the most comfortable and well made on the market In terms of the condition the upholstery has all been professionally cleaned, the frame cleaned waxed and polished, there may be the odd tiny little mark here or there but they would be very hard to see Dimensions: Height 94cm Width 187cm Depth 94cm Seat height 49cm This item is available for collection from our Wimbledon warehouses. Condition: Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
