About the Item

A charming mid-century modern round tabouret or accent stool produced in Czechoslovakia during the 1960s. This piece beautifully captures the color sensibility and utilitarian economy of post-war Central European design, featuring a circular padded seat resting on straight, square-profile legs in a clear natural finish. The legs are structurally tied by a minimalist X-form stretcher that provides excellent stability. The stool is exceptional for retaining its original multi-colored striped fabric, woven with iconic period tones of deep orange, rust red, muted beige, and dark brown. Unrestored and preserved in honest vintage condition, this highly collectible stool functions perfectly as an authentic accent piece, under-desk footrest, or vanity seat within curated mid-century modern, bohemian, or modernist interiors.
