About the Item

This is a pair of Solid Cherry Wood Bar Stools, produced by the Thomas Moser Company in the 1980s. Each Moser piece is handmade by one of the company's artisans in their Auburn, Maine workshop. These two stools date to the 1980s, reflecting the dates of completion as 1983 and 1986. The stools feature solid cherry seats, and have four tapered ash legs. The seats are reminiscent of a tractor or a saddle, an ode to what Moser refers to as "historic simplicity". Each stool measures 22.5 inches deep, 20.25 inches wide, and 33.25 inches high. They have a seat height of 31.5 inches. While the stools coordinate perfectly with each other, there are a few differences between the two. The foot support bars are of different heights, and each stool has two bar sections. There are some small chips along the edges of the wood, and both have writing from the artists under their seats. Overall, this pair is in very good condition. Please see photos.
