About the Item

Roger Tallon designed this folding stool for French manufacturer Sentou during the height of Mid-Century innovation in multipurpose furniture. The piece employs an X-shaped leg configuration constructed from wide light oak panels that intersect to support a circular seat. The geometric construction allows the stool to collapse flat to 28 inches for storage or transport. Tallon integrated a circular finger-pull cutout into one panel, enabling wall mounting when not in use. The oak panels maintain their form through precise joinery that accommodates repeated folding and unfolding. Shows wear consistent with age and use.
