About the Item

Pair of Industrial-style pneumatic posing or task stools by Photogenic Machine Company (ca. 1940s/50s, USA). The Photogenic Machine Company of Youngstown Ohio has been producing photographic lighting equipment and accessories since 1903. Though these stools were designed as posing stools for shoots, they are equally suitable for task/drafting table use or for general seating. Composed of swivel seats mounted to black painted steel frames with with pneumatic lever height adjustability (pull lever when seated to raise or lower the seat from 19.63" H to 25" H). Good, original condition: all functionality is sound - seats swivel smoothly, and height adjusts easily. Rust, scuffs, and paint loss present, as shown. Manufacturer's label present to one of the two bases. Listing is for the pair of stools. H: 19.63" to 25" L: 14.5" (inclusive of lever) D: 12" Seat and base are both 12" in diameter
