About the Item

19th century oak buffet from France with a beveled edge around the top with nice hand carved details on the corners and front, following down to raised paneled sides which have carved borders. The front is spectacularly hand carved, and has a single drawer over a single paneled door with hand carved decorated panels. The apron is also carved and scalloped and the piece is raised on cabriole feet which end in scrolls and pads in the front, and simple feet in the back for easy placement against a wall.

A handsome and sizable solid oak buffet a deux corps (in two sections) with Provincial charm from 19th century France. This four door case antique is split into two bodies: a deeper lower body and a more narrow but tall upper body.
