About the Item

This English oak server from the late 18th century features a three-plank rectangular top with beveled edge over three drawers. The central smaller drawer is flanked with two larger ones adorned with two bail handles and central escutcheons, placed in their upper section. The apron is exquisitely carved, with a pierced motif, outlining a shape reminiscent of a spade. This server, which used to be a dresser base, is raised on four legs, cabriole in the front and straight in the back. The nice proportions and beautiful lines combined with a wonderful patina showing the age of the piece would make this English oak server circa 1780-1800 a wonderful addition to any dining room, with three drawers perfect for silverware, napkins or documents of any sort.
