About the Item

1960’s Large Mid Century Sideboard – Cabinet. Superb practical piece of mid century storage by the Czech maker Up Zavody and designed by Frantisek Mezulanik. Czech was a large producer of high quality mid century furniture following the surge of modernism originated by the Bauhaus school. The left side of the cabinet features four small drawers, to the right sits a good sized cabinet with a central divide (Internal dimensions 41L x 56/60W x 43H all CM with adjustable shelves as shown). The whole cabinet is beautifully made in a mix of Sapele timber with birch contrasting. The cabinet sits on a beech base. Our workshop has gently restored the cabinet so all drawers and doors run well and the cabinet is in exceptional original condition. Drawer internal dimensions on the left if the cabinet: L38 x W33 x H8 Internal dimensions of cabinet to the right, all in cm. Shelves on the left side inside: Self 1: L37 x W56 x H17 Self 2: L40 x W56 x H24 Shelves on the right side inside: Self 1: L40 x W60 x H13 Self 2: L40 x W60 x H14 Self 3: L40 x W60 x H13 This product is located in our EU warehouse and will be delivered on a slightly longer lead time of 2-4 weeks. Workshop Report: Our workshop team inspect every product and carry out any needed repairs to ensure that everything leaves us serviced and maintained ready for many more years of life. All of our vintage products show the rich beauty and history of their life with the knocks and bumps of many years of use and we try to minimise restoration to keep every piece as original as possible.
