About the Item

A French chest of drawers, approximately dated to 1920. An elegant chest of drawers in the Louis XV style, veneered in fine woods and featuring a rich design of lozenges and perspective cubes, with a curved front and three drawers, embellished with chiseled bronze appliqués and handles in the Rocaille style. The top is made of veined red marble, shaped to follow the contours of the cabinet and finished with a rounded edge. The sides are adorned with striking bronze appliqués featuring plant motifs, while the lower apron—elegantly shaped and embellished with a central bronze decoration—adds further movement to the overall design. The slender legs end in curved feet. It is in very good condition, with a pleasant patina on the wood and slight signs of wear consistent with its age and normal use. The marble top has a few stains and superficial marks that do not detract from its decorative value.
