About the Item

A William and Mary period chest of two short drawers over three long graduated drawers. Veneered in oyster-cut walnut (or possibly olivewood) with holly banding surrounding the drawers as well as the top and sides. The top is also inlaid with a pattern of concentric circles and the sides inlaid with a central octagon. The bun feet, brasses, and base molding are later.
