About the Item

This exceptional Italian bar cabinet, originating from Rome, is a striking example of sophisticated mid-century Italian craftsmanship. Designed as a two-piece ensemble, the mobile lower bar seamlessly rolls into the wall unit, creating an elegant and highly functional composition. The cabinet is distinguished by its beautifully sculpted geometric doors, each inset with faceted smoked glass panels that catch and reflect the light, giving the piece a refined architectural presence. The rich walnut veneer, combined with the dramatic hammered copper countertop, creates a luxurious contrast characteristic of the finest Italian furniture of the 1960s. Beyond its impressive appearance, this cabinet was designed with functionality in mind. The spacious upper cabinet features glass shelving, while the lower section offers additional storage with three drawers, a cupboard, and the original refrigerator, making it equally suitable as a sophisticated home bar, a reception cabinet, a host station, or a restaurant service cabinet. Dimensions in cm: Bar: 129 cm long, 48 cm deep, with refrigerator 55 cm wide and 101 cm high. Wall unit: 140 cm wide, 202 cm high, 36 cm deep. Minor fading, light surface wear, and a few small scratches to the wood, none of which detract from the overall appearance. The original refrigerator's electrical system will likely require upgrading to current standards or replacement if intended for regular use.
