Brass And Solid Wood Bugs Sideboard by PANOPTIKUM COLLECTIONS Dimensions: D 48 x W 168 x H 80 cm. Materials: Solid wood, veneer, pyrographу, and brass. The BUGS collection is a vivid example of emotional design: something very earthly and cosmic simultaneously, both innovative and primal. This emotion is born somewhere inside our wrapper of civilization. The author, designer Valery Kuznetsov, sees in these cute creatures images of insects who indeed can be inhabitants of other planets. Alien bugs with rounded corners on their legs and antennae can creep across your interior in the form of fancy chests of drawers of different shapes and sizes, as well as decorative wall panels. The facades of chests of drawers are decorated manually by the technique of graphic drawings, which only enhances the emotion. Nature always arouses curiosity: here, pyrography, as one of the oldest techniques of applying images on wood by burning, appears on the facades. PANOPTIKUM COLLECTIONS is proof of the feasibility of the materialization of ideas, even the most unusual ones, which were embodied in astonishing yet functional interior objects. We created this platform for experimentation with design objects, ideas, materials, shapes, and textures. This is a real collection of unusual objects, each of which was once just a reckless idea. The most expensive ideas are those whose implementation requires not only material resources but also courage, intuition, and skill.
