This 1925s oak sideboard embodies the bold elegance of early Art Deco design. Klein, active in the Parisian decorative arts scene and a contributor to the famed 1925 Exposition Internationale des Arts Décoratifs, was celebrated for his architectural sensibility and refined craftsmanship. His original style is characterized by the use of strong contrasts between shapes, styles and materials. This sideboard features a symmetrical façade punctuated by three central panels, each adorned with deeply carved reliefs, abstracted botanical motifs that evoke the stylized naturalism of the period.
