Handcrafted with meticulous attention to detail, this art deco credenza is constructed from solid teak, skillfully joined to create a clean and refined silhouette. Our master craftsmen intricately carve delicate floral forms, which are then encased in a snug-fitting metal skin. The gracefully curved legs and side rails of this exceptional art deco credenza are meticulously hand-carved from solid teak, showcasing the artistry of our skilled artisans. To achieve its captivating allure, the art deco credenza is adorned with a choice of metal skins, including Brass, White Bronze, Antiqued Bronze, Silver, and Copper. The metal sheets, whether copper or silver, are carefully traced and cut into complex forms that envelop the entire art deco credenza. The silver utilized in this art deco credenza boasts an exceptional purity level of 96%, surpassing the minimum standard for sterling silver at 92.5%. While both silver and copper will develop a natural patina over time, the original luster can be restored effortlessly using regular non-abrasive household metal polishes. Rare sideboard attributed to Eliel Saarinen (father of Eero Saarinen) designed before his immigration to the United States. In a style that we now refer to as "Art Deco," this style was considered the "National Romantic Style" in Finland essentially a twist on what became known worldwide as Art Deco with its strong vertical lines and medieval references. The workmanship of this cabinet and its materials is magnificent.
