About the Item

Early 20th c., Federal Style huntboard made from rich mahogany and featuring classic design elements that reflect high-quality craftsmanship. The table is crafted from solid mahogany, known for its durability and beautiful grain pattern. The front of the table has a subtle bowfront, giving it an elegant curve that adds visual interest without overwhelming the piece. The table features two smaller upper drawers and one larger central drawer, all adorned with brass pulls and escutcheons typical of the Federal style. The drawers are constructed with dovetail joints, a hallmark of fine furniture making. The legs are finely tapered, giving the piece a graceful and light appearance. The square feet further enhance the table's refined aesthetic. The sides of the table are adorned with carved motifs, featuring urn designs and fluted edges, which add a touch of classical charm to the piece.
