About the Item

1960’s Blonde Birch Mid-Century Wardrobe. Superb practical piece of mid century storage by the Czech maker Nový domov Národný podnik Spišská Nová Vesy and designed by Frantisek Mezulanik. Czech was a large producer of high quality mid century furniture following the surge of modernism originated by the Bauhaus school. The cabinet is made from well figured birch with a light birch and sapele interior. The whole cabinet is beautifully made sitting on arched laminated beech and birch legs. Our workshop has gently restored the cabinet, the doors close well and the cabinet is in exceptional original condition. Internal Dimensions: L58 x W106 x H148 all in cm. The rail sits 7cm down from the top of the cabinet. This product is located in our EU warehouse and will be delivered on a slightly longer lead time of 2-4 weeks. Workshop Report: Our workshop team inspect every product and carry out any needed repairs to ensure that everything leaves us serviced and maintained ready for many more years of life. All of our vintage products show the rich beauty and history of their life with the knocks and bumps of many years of use and we try to minimise restoration to keep every piece as original as possible.
