About the Item

E W Godwin, style of, a rare Anglo-Japanese walnut double armoire wardrobe compactum with Japonesque brass incised handles and lots of useful storage space. With a fretwork cornice and Japonesque detail to the upper right hand door with full length original beveled plate mirror below, opening to reveal brass hooks to the back and sides with extending hanging bar to the centre. The left hand side with a smaller paneled door opening to reveal three shelves inside, with three side drawers and a paneled two-door cupboard below, stood on square feet with shaped supports above.
