About the Item

A stationary serving table with two tiers, the intricately inlaid straw marquetry depicts a medallion composed of musical instruments. Exhibited: André Groult exhibited in XIXth Salon des artistes décorateurs of 1928 a room in which walls were covered by straw marquetry. Two years later, during the Salon des Artistes Décorateurs 1930 he exhibited his famous straw room: walls and furniture were entirely covered by straw marquetry.
