About the Item

In collaboration with The Estate of Sol LeWitt, Artware Editions is thrilled to present Sol LeWitt's "Coffee Table" edition. Originally designed in 1981 it is available again in the two original materials selected by the artist: white-painted poplar (seen above) and black walnut. "Coffee Table" is one of the most significant examples of artist-designed furniture from the 20th century and has been reproduced infrequently since originally exhibited in 1981. This 48" square table with an open-grid design is airy and elegant and relates both conceptually and visually to LeWitt's work from that period. These reproductions are fabricted by the same craftsman that worked with the artist during his lifetime and are accompanied by a "Certificate of Authenticity" stamped by the estate. The white-painted poplar version is $15,000 The walnut version is $16,500.
