“The collection is a true representation of Cibic’s ability to draw inspiration from unexpected sources and create something truly remarkable.” The journey into matter continues with Dino, a side table that seamlessly complements the Wilma bookcase and other pieces in the Paleolite collection. Crafted from MDF and cement and finished with an etched brass top, Dino is both functional and visually striking. Paleolite is an experimental collection of accessories born from Aldo Cibic’s research into Etruscan and pre-Columbian architectural languages, as well as his fascination with collecting images of stones and minerals to create layered collages. The pieces are made using unconventional materials, including metal filings and ultra-light nebulized conglomerates, reflecting an ongoing exploration of texture, volume, and material invention. Dino was part of Be Yourself to Shine. The exhibition, set in an 18th-century palace in the heart of Turin, merges historic architecture with contemporary design, creating a unique sensory journey. It showcases one-of-a-kind pieces and installations resulting from collaborations with young Italian artists and designers, exploring the relationship between art, materials, and emotion. Each work is conceived to integrate with the spaces, generating a dialogue between the past and the present. The exhibition also offers a reflection on the boundary between art and design, with pieces that transform everyday objects into artistic and sensory experiences. Open edition.
