About the Item

Brutalist and masculine. Part of the Primal collection, this sculptural coffee table by Egg Designs is handcrafted in South Africa. The tabletop is charred using the traditional Japanese technique of Shou Sugi Ban, resulting in a rich, natural sheen and beautifully textured surface. A solid sand cast brass disc is inset into the top, contrasting with the burnt timber and offering a striking focal point. The base combines a burnished steel drum with a bronzed steel planar leg, balancing form and materiality. This contemporary, high-end piece reflects Egg Designs’ bold, material-driven approach.
