Carved from a single slab of early 20th-century elm and two joined planks, this low table embodies the quiet imperfection and tactile depth of wabi-sabi design. The time-worn surface, softened by decades of use, reveals the grain’s natural rhythm, ts knots, fissures, and irregular edges preserved rather than concealed. The metal legs lend a grounded simplicity, creating a composition that feels both ancient and timeless. The dialogue between rough wood and cool steel recalls the elemental harmony often seen in interiors by Axel Vervoordt, where texture, emptiness, and proportion invite stillness.
