About the Item

A handsome and most unique Italian 18th century Baroque Period Giltwood, Mecca, and Breche D' Alep marble wall bracket/console. The wonderful wall mounted shelf/console has an intricate and bold pierced carved design with a central bottom flower flanked by two fruits and large scrolled acanthus leaves in a Mecca finish. The zig zag Mecca designs display attractive reeded bands below additional and large carved Giltwood acanthus leaves. Above lays its impressive Breche D' Alep marble top following the contours of the console and finished with an elegant mottled edge.
