About the Item

Inspired by pre-war and mid-century modern Japanese architecture, this console table combines aspects of both. Made of solid hardwood throughout, it features design sensibilities and construction materials from both these eras. Notice the largely timber-frame design accented with slack angles, the monolithic nature of the wood, and the joinery at each joint, formed by precisely cutting and joining different slabs. Each piece of wood was carefully selected and processed, culminating in a table with super dramatic grain. You'll love this table in your mid-century modern or eclectic interior. In very good vintage and original condition. Durable finish is in great shape, and there are no signs of damage outside of normal light wear. The natural split in the top was stabilized during its production with a large butterfly joint on the underside. No expense was spared during construction.
