Designed by Berthold Müller (1893–1979), this distinctive free-form mosaic console table or desk exemplifies the artist's celebrated fusion of functional design and abstract art. The trapezoidal tabletop, softened by elegantly rounded edges, is supported by slender tubular metal legs that follow the dynamic angles of the top, enhancing its sculptural presence. The tabletop itself is a remarkable work of art, reflecting the influence of 1950s Abstract Expressionism.
